A permanent granite periodic table will be set into the sidewalk in front of the new Chemistry Building.

Each element will be 10 inches square and include the symbol and the atomic number. The periodic table will be a permanent feature of the new building and should soon become a landmark on campus. For $5000, an individual or company can "buy" an element.

Donors can then choose text to be engraved on their element. Text might include their own name or the name of a favorite professor.

Family members can buy one for a student. A company can list the company name.

We hope many people will find this to be an exciting and fun way to donate to the department. Proceeds will go towards new instrumentation.
