Chem 1350 emphasizes the importance of fundamental ideas, rather than mere numerical manipulations. This course has been fashioned using the latest developments of Science Education, and uses a in-house written laboratory manual specifically designed for the course.

The textbook, 'The Extraordinary Chemistry of Ordinary Things,' by C. H. Snyder, is specifically aimed at the non-science major.
