My research interests include: Nuclear magnetic resonance; materials science; soldering materials; electronic materials including ceramics, polymers, and metals; Auger/ESCA spectroscopy of materials; surface chemistry.


ANALYTICAL AND MATERIALS CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL EDUCATION


"Discovery of the Elements," a book covering the history of the discovery of the elements from the ancients to modern times.

"Walking Tour of the Elements," a CD describing all of the elements, a complete collection at UNT, including the minerals of original discovery.

"Rediscovery of the Elements," a project currently in progress, allowing one to visit all of the discovery sites of the elements.

I teach the following courses:

Dr. Marshall received his B.S. at Indiana University in 1962 and his Ph.D. at Ohio State University in 1966. Dr. Marshall joined the UNT faculty in 1967 and spent 1981-87 working at Celanese and Motorola.
