W.N. Masters Award Application

The W. N. Masters Scholarship is available for qualified students who currently have a junior or senior standing. The scholarship carries a stipend of not less than $500 for the academic school year. To qualify, the following conditions must be met:

1. You must be a declared and listed major in Chemistry or Biochemistry.

2. You must currently have a junior or senior standing.

3. Two letters of recommendation from faculty members are required. It is the candidate's responsibility to see that the recommendation letters are supplied to the Masters Committee in time for evaluation.

4. You must have a record of outstanding scholarship.

5. A set of transcripts of all college work must accompany the application (The Chemistry Student Services Office can print your transcripts for you).

6. Although undergraduate research participation is not a necessary condition, it would certainly be given consideration by the Masters Scholarship Committee.

7. You cannot by a graduating senior (you are not expecting to graduate in May or December 2010).
