Chemistry Student Services Office
I assist students with the admission procedures and degree requirements
in the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Chemistry at UNT.

A brief summary of my primary job responsibilities include:
serve on the departmental graduate recruiting committee
representing both the Deaprtment of Chemistry and the Toulouse School of Graduate Students at various local, state and national meetings, career fairs and graduate program and professional fairs.
handle all recruiting materials, correspondence and arrange
visits of prospective graduate students.
handle all admission materials of prospective graduate students.
maintain and monitor all graduate student academic
files and records
prepare graduate student's degree plans
assist with undergraduate and graduate advising
help students with registration
Compile necessary information on award nominees for department, university and other local and national
scholarships
maintain and update alumni files
NSF-REU Program Coordinator
Assistant Program Coordinator for the 1994 National ACS Meeting and the 2004 Southwest Regional ACS Meeting and Program Coordinator for the 2009 ACS DFW Section Meeting-in-Miniature
webmaster for the faculty, staff and department websites
EDUCATION:
Completed coursework at the University of North Texas, toward M.Ed. in
Higher Education, specializing in Student Affairs.
Completed coursework at Abilene Christian University,
Graduate School of Theology.
Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Texas Woman's University, Denton, Texas, May 2001.
Commonwealth College, (now Bryant and Stratton College), Virginia Beach, Virginia, Diploma in Executive Secretarial Administration, May, 1984.
Denton High School, Denton, Texas, High School Diploma, May, 1982.

University of North Texas (1986-present)

Winner of a 2008 Star Performer Award.
Winner of a 2004 Outstanding Staff Contribution Award.
Nominated in 2003 and 2008 for an Outstanding Staff Contribution Award.
Four-time Soaring Eagle Award Winner (given for outstanding customer service to the University)
TIP$ Award Winner (given for suggesting constructive ideas that effect cost-savings, increase productivity
and service, and improve methods, procedures, and/or forms)

This office is supported UNT full-time student who wishes
to work part-time while at UNT.
