In the Spring of 2005, the Department of Education approved a grant for the institution of the Center for Advanced Scientific Computing and Modeling (CASCaM) at the University of North Texas under the direction of Angela K. Wilson and Thomas R. Cundari. The Center will feature resources to both teach and apply computational chemistry through the Computational Chemistry Instructional Laboratory (CCIL). The resources of CASCaM and CCIL will soon include a computing cluster for quantum chemistry software applications and a state-of-the-art teaching laboratory with twenty-eight high-end personal computers and the latest in classroom education instrumentation. Check back soon for the latest news on developments at CASCaM and CCIL.
